Hello, I am Ada, hailing from the vibrant city of Hong Kong. With a background as a registered English teacher in middle and high schools, I have had the privilege of guiding young minds through their educational journeys. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, I have also ventured into teaching elementary students Mathematics, employing engaging explanations, examples, and interactive activities to make learning a joyous experience.

My work experience has also confirmed my ongoing passion for teaching, as demonstrated by the award I received in 2021 for The Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award Gold Award. During the selection process, my passion, sincerity, and teaching skills were recognized by the judging panel, who are principals from different primary and secondary schools.

My teaching philosophy revolves around a student-centered approach. Recognizing the pitfalls of a teacher-centered model, I prioritize reflective teaching practices to tailor my methods to individual learning styles. By incorporating interactive techniques such as fun games and engaging activities, I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Adaptiveness is at the core of my teaching ethos. Understanding that learning motivations vary due to emotional fluctuations and personal challenges, I emphasize making timely adjustments to cater to students' evolving needs. Whether through drillings to enhance concentration levels or interactive sessions post-physical activities, I believe in the power of adaptability to maximize learning efficiency.

Moreover, positive support and feedback play a pivotal role in nurturing students' self-esteem and motivation. I am a firm advocate of providing both evaluative and descriptive feedback to reinforce strengths and encourage improvement, fostering a dynamic and encouraging classroom environment where learning thrives.

In my teaching practice, I have embraced a variety of methodologies that align with my student-centered approach, including interactive teaching and learning, game-based learning (GBL), experiential learning, collaborative learning, and blended learning. These methodologies not only enhance engagement but also promote peer learning and deepen comprehension.

I am proficient in various educational technologies and online resources, including Google Classroom, LMS (such as Moodle), and other digital platforms. I am able to effectively utilize online teaching resources and assessments on Moodle, along with various educational tools such as YouTube, Padlet, Edpuzzle, and Mentimeter.
