I am a graduate of Kent State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a focus in Health Education. I then went on to receive my Masters in Public Health with a focus in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Since graduation, I have been a nanny/home school educator; tutored children of all ages with different skill levels and disabilities. I am currently a full-time educator teaching middle school grades but have experience teaching math, sciences and ELA/ Reading Intervention. I am most passionate about Math, ELA, study skills and organization.. Reading is a big deal to me because it is a very important part of being a successful person in our society all over the world. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun prepping for math and ELA- specifically comprehension portions of the exam. I am a firm proponent of education (specifically reading), believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try my best to instill this within my students on a daily basis. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books (I am a softee for young adult fiction!), spending time out in nature with my 1 year old dog, Teddy and cheering on all of Cleveland's sports teams!
