I am a elementary teacher with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Spanish from West Virginia University, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisville. I also have six hours of post graduate work in Elementary Education from
Indiana University Southeast. Over the past 30 years, I have taught elementary students in a variety of classroom settings while raising my own family. I have a heart for working with young learners, and am passionate about fostering a love of learning with students by nurturing their natural curiosity and excitement about the world. I believe strongly that all children can be successful when they are supported and nurtured in a way that engages each child's individual learning style.

In my free time, I just love to exercise, particularly barre and yoga classes. I also enjoy knitting, crochet, needle arts, scrapbooking, gardening, and playing guitar. I’ve also been a competitive dance mom for 27 years.
