Certified Tutor

I am an experienced English language arts educator with a passion for creative writing and literature. I have taught over 400 students across three college campuses and two high schools, both in person and online, and have experience in academic writing, college prep, and other subjects related to English language arts.

As a published author, I'm familiar with the hardships and joys of this work, and I'm sensitive to the fact that each person has a unique relationship to writing. My role as your tutor is to impart knowledge and skills, but also to foster strength and confidence in every individual I teach. I design tailor-made lessons, readings, and assignments to cater directly to your needs and aspirations in order to make this work not only easier for you, but also fun, exciting, and illuminating.

Writing is a part of everything we do, and writing well - and learning to enjoy it - can help you no matter what your goals may be. Writing does not have to be rigid, and your unique perspective always, always matters. It took time, hard work, and support to help me find my voice. I am committed to helping you find yours.
