I have always been passionate about helping students because I believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for personal growth and success. Guiding students through their academic challenges and watching their understanding and confidence develop is incredibly rewarding at it is. I find joy in being a part of their journey toward mastering subjects they once found difficult, and I love helping them realize their full potential.

My experience in tutoring began during high school, where I worked alongside my teachers to assist students in earlier grades. As a sophomore, I tutored freshmen, as a junior, I helped sophomores, and as a senior, I supported juniors. I also joined a club dedicated to tutoring students who were struggling with various courses. These experiences allowed me to develop skills in breaking down complex concepts, adapting my teaching style to different learners, and fostering a positive learning environment. This foundation solidified my passion for teaching and shaped my approach to tutoring.

I am currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, working toward my bachelor's degree. I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, particularly in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Linear Algebra. I primarily tutor mathematics, and I branch out into the different courses that make up mathematics.

My favorite subjects to tutor are Algebra 2 and Calculus 1. Algebra 2 appeals to me because it serves as a critical bridge between basic algebra and more advanced mathematical concepts. I enjoy helping students see how algebra builds the foundation for everything that comes later in mathematics. Calculus 1, on the other hand, is a subject I love tutoring because it introduces students to the world of limits, derivatives, and integrals, which are not only fascinating but also fundamental to understanding higher-level math and engineering concepts.

My teaching philosophy centers on adaptability and student empowerment. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to each individual. I focus on making learning enjoyable and relatable, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different methods of problem-solving, all while encouraging them to think critically and independently.

Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active through running, playing soccer, biking, and hiking. I also love fishing, as it allows me to connect with nature and take a break from my studies. These interests help me maintain a balanced lifestyle and offer new perspectives that I bring back into my tutoring sessions.

With my strong background in mathematics, my experience working with diverse learners, and my passion for teaching, I am confident that I can make a positive impact as a tutor for Varsity Tutors. I look forward to helping students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
