I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe that education is the key to unlocking a child's potential. My five years of full-time classroom experience, teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade, have solidified my belief that every child has the ability to succeed when given the right tools, support, and encouragement. I offer support in reading, writing, math, and beginner's ukulele. While I enjoy tutoring all subjects, math holds a special place for me because it allows students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for their future success. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a student-centered environment that fosters growth mindsets, critical thinking, and cultural responsiveness. I believe in the importance of community building, where students feel safe, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. I also have a passion for trying new foods and experimenting in the kitchen, where I enjoy blending flavors and creating delicious dishes that bring people together around the table.
