Certified Tutor

I relocated from Israel to Oregon 3 years ago into my senior year of high school. I'm currently an undergraduate at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor studying Cognitive Science and BCN (Biopsychology, Cognitive Science, and Neuroscience). I'm hoping to continue into my master's and PhD in Cognitive Science. Throughout my life, I have traveled to 17 different countries and have relocated twice, back and forth between Israel and the United States, making me bilingual. I'm currently tutoring Hebrew for all levels. I was a counselor/instructor/tutor in a variety of different formats such as Jewish summer camps, Scouts, Mashatzim, and school. I taught Hebrew, English, and Math, and was also a tennis and surfing instructor. I worked with autistic and students who have learning disabilities. I know how it feels to be a new kid and having to learn a whole different language, I wanna help those who are struggling. I love it when my students understand that they are capable, they can do it, and with a little hard work, they can have it all. I'm here to push my students to do better and help them achieve their goals and even more. I love the feeling when a student comes back to me with a good grade and a massive smile on their face, it's just as big of an accomplishment to me as it is for them, if not more. During my classes, I get the students involved in the activities, whether it's through Kahoot or different PowerPoint games. My philosophy of teaching is to have the combination of the students and my timeline combined, that way we can focus on topics in which they struggle while continuing the class schedule. It's also important for me to have the students get to the conclusion by themselves and have an understanding rather than me just telling them the answer. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, hiking, snowboarding, camping, and rock climbing. *** I will be using Eastern Daylight Time (I reside in Michigan)
