Certified Tutor
As an ESL tutor, I believe that understanding how students learn a second language is vital in shaping my teaching approach. The diverse goals and aspirations of my students commit me to assist them in achieving their objectives. I am inspired to be an ESL teacher because I believe that knowing English at an academic-certified level gives them many educational and career opportunities. My personal experiences of growing up in different cultures have deeply influenced my teaching philosophy. I consider these experiences valuable assets that, incorporated into my teaching plan, create a rich and diverse learning environment in a structured and organized classroom. To ensure inclusivity, I use diverse teaching methods that cater to individual learning styles, making sure that everyone understands, and nobody is left behind.
Considering teenagers struggle to understand the importance and difference of formal vs informal use of language, my teaching style is based on three key beliefs: First, I use a deductive approach that allows learners to apply their language skills to structured activities and real-life situations. Second, focus on the importance of understanding and making meaningful connections with what they learn in class, and lastly, to create a setting that encourages students to apply their knowledge to formal testing environments.
