As someone who's been deeply immersed in the worlds of biology, chemistry, and now emergency medicine, my journey in academia has shown me the power of education. I did my undergraduate in biology and chemistry at the University of Minnesota before embarking on a fulfilling journey through medical school, leading up to my recent residency in emergency medicine at the University of Iowa. Alongside my studies, tutoring has been a constant passion of mine. Throughout my undergraduate years, I served as a Peer Assisted Learning Facilitator, designing engaging activities such as worksheets, games, and review sessions for students in math, biology, and chemistry courses. In medical school, I continued to nurture this passion by tutoring foundational science courses, eventually becoming the head tutor of my medical school. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and I find joy in tailoring my approach to help them succeed. My favorite subjects to tutor include math, science, and test preparation/study skills. Beyond the classroom and hospital, I enjoy staying active, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
