I graduated from Montclair State University in New Jersey back in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Family and Child Studies, which is an education related field. Soon after graduation, I moved to Beijing, China was I worked as an English tutor and then Foreign Language (English) Professor at Beijing University of Transportation for several years. In 2015, I moved back to the US and took a different direction in my career, working as Program Manager in the Pharmaceutical Services industry. In 2020, when COVID19 caused everyone to work from home, I was contacted by my old University contacts to teach an online course via their videoconferencing service. It reminded me of what I was missing, and although in a new environment (online, instead of the classroom), I knew I needed to get back to teaching. I began working with VIPKID to teach one-on-one English classes to EFL students from Asia. In September of last year, I made a permanent switch from teaching as a part time gig, to a full-time job and now I work with another company, Dolphin English, teaching EFL classes to small group classes of students aged 6-16. I am very passionate about creating a warm and friendly environment for my students to learn English and assist them in their journey to English fluency. I also enjoy learning about history, philosophy, and religion as well as listening to music and I even play the drums!
