Erin: Greenburgh tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a degree in Biochemistry, a double major in French, and a minor in Journalism. I am currently completing a Master's degree in Education, also from the University of Notre Dame, while working full time as a high school science teacher. I teach Chemistry, Physical Science, Algebra I and ACT Prep to students with a broad range of strengths and abilities. Alongside my classroom work, I coach dance team and track, and mentor high school juniors and seniors in college/career discernment.
As my own interests are diverse, I tutor a diversity of subjects, including math, science, and French language. I also enjoy tutoring for college admissions tests, such as the ACT and SAT; it is gratifying to hear from students whose scores improve in tandem with the work they put forth in sessions. Above all, I believe that each student brings a unique perspective to the classroom (or the tutoring session), and it is my job to value each student's contribution to the conversation, for the betterment of their academic progress and belief in themselves.
In my free time, I enjoy running, dancing, cooking, reading, and learning new languages.
