Throughout my undergraduate and graduate education I always found working as a teaching assistant fulfilling, and I tended to be that friend who does the homework early just so I can help my friends figure it out.
I am a recent graduate with my MS in Materials Engineering from Dartmouth College in Hanover NH, and I earned my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
My experience tutoring for education is limited to college students, but my passion for skating and playing hockey led me to coaching a wide range of age groups during college. I love working with kids and I would be happy to extend this to tutoring students younger than those in college and grad school. I take a personalized approach with each student and I love workshopping different ways to ensure I am teaching the student in the way they learn best. This takes more time and effort but it is well worth it to me. I find actively listening and learning from the student is the best way to achieve a beneficial relationship when tutoring.

I rowed crew in high school and was basically born in ice skates. I started skating when I was three and playing hockey soon after. I also played tennis for a number of years when I was younger and still play with friends and family when the weather is nice. I love reading historical fiction and nonfiction. I only found this passion later in life after finding meaningful ways to deal with my reading disability.
