Certified Tutor

As a student, I'm familiar with the feeling of being stuck in a class you couldn't care less about (I attend them every week). Therefore, my tutoring approach is to be efficient and effective in the most fun and engaging way possible.

I spent the past year preparing my brother for his Grade 6 EQAO test. It was his first time going through this process and he had trouble with reading comprehension.

After months of preparation through personalized lesson plans, he met the provincial standard in some categories and exceeded it in others.

After that experience, I realized I am passionate about teaching, especially at the elementary level.

I'm attending Toronto Metropolitan University as an undergrad in journalism. During my studies, I was awarded the Flow 98.7FM Black Scholar Award and continue to maintain an entrance scholarship.

When I'm not in class or working on a story, I'm at a concert, browsing a used bookstore, or watching a film in a theatre.
