Kelsie: Richmond Hill tutor
Certified Tutor
I just completed my Fulbright English Teaching grant in Argentina, and I'm excited to continue working with students through Varsity Tutors.
I love tutoring, which is why I took two gap years after high school to work for City Year, an AmeriCorps education nonprofit in Los Angeles. During those two years I tutored middle school students in English and Math and coordinated an after-school program. Since then I have worked in various education roles, including as a high school tutor with the New York Public Library, as an administrator at a nonprofit summer camp, and as a nanny for young children. I have extensive experience writing my own lesson plans and catering to students' learning styles and interests. I have tutored all grade levels (elementary through high school) and supported students who needed extra help in class or who just wanted to get ahead. My tutoring approach involves meeting students where they are at and finding creative methods to bridge their skill gaps.
Please contact me with any questions about subjects and availability! I look forward to hearing from you.

I spent 2023 learning Spanish and surfing, and I plan to continue both of those this year! Additionally, I love hiking and nature. One of my favorite places in the world is Yellowstone National Park. I try to read and write in my free time. My current favorite writers are Zadie Smith and Mary Oliver.
