My passion for helping students developed from my own journey throughout education. As I've reflected on this, I sought to construct my identity as an educator based on the lessons I learned as a student. I currently serve as an Academic Resilience Coach, assisting students in developing skills and engaging with academic support services. Additionally, I have experience as a former educator, having taught 6th and 7th grade History/Social Studies, although my background is more closely related to ELAR and Writing. I earned my BA in Communication Studies from Prairie View A&M University and am on track to complete my MA in Higher Education Student Affairs in August. My teaching philosophy emphasizes that all students should have access to resources to enable them to thrive in academia.

My interests/hobbies include horticulture, hiking, podcasting, filming, writing, and art viewing. I also enjoy skating and creating memories with my friends and family. While most of my time is spent with my dog Nio, I also have an interest in learning more about animals and their environments.
