I am a third year Chemical Engineering undergraduate with a minor in Environmental Engineering at Mcgill, Canada. I was born and did all my whole primary education in Brazil, so leaving for college and experiencing all the challenges that come with immigration made me grow a lot! At university, I am part of a design team where we build a car powered by a handmade battery: I strongly feel like joining such teams triggers your curiosity and makes you learn a lot about team work and problem solving in the real world. During summer, I usually go back home to brazil, where I worked in a sports NGO for children, which was an amazing experience as I feel like sports and education shape your life, and this summer I'll be working in a public university's lab to produce biofuel for solid residues, which I am very intrigued about, as I am really concerned in working with sustainability in the future. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about French Literature (I really like the way they push you to create your own reasoning and argumentation), Math, and Chemistry (where I also like the reasoning part, not the learning by heart and applying). In my previous tutoring experience, we always seem to keep a light and comfortable atmosphere while covering remarkable amounts of content. I strongly believe that education is absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, whether it is to shape your ideas and personality or work towards who you want to be/ in what you want to make a difference in life, and I try to share this thinking with all of my students.
