Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The College of William Paterson University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, developed a career in a multitude of areas in Styling working with some of the most respected names in the industry,, practicing and perfecting different mediums of art, tutored children in Fashion and developed my own brand. While I tutor a broad range of areas in art, I am most passionate about the foundations of art, drawing and fashion( sewing, styling and design). When dealing with students in Art, I've learned encouragement of creativity and freedom is how the best work is developed. In allowing people but especially children, to express their perspectives, realities and dreams through mediums that relate to them is truly the best teaching experience for them as well as myself. These acts of expression later develop a stronger sense of self confidence, self esteem and self acceptance. This also teaches patiences, understanding, constructive criticism skills (taking and making) and this allows parts of the imagination to follow and help with problem solving and coping skills. Art is often overlooked but understanding how it allows us to become whole as individuals. On my free time I participate in sewing/ styling projects, films, I often read and write as well as find forms of meditation and peace.
