Since I was about ten years old, I have always enjoyed competitive swimming and working together with my teammates. In grade school, I would help out and tutor younger students and it always brought a smile to my face to see them understand a new concept. In high school, I would spend time volunteering in the Life Skills room and socializing with the students. Continuing my education at Westminster College, PA where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education was the stepping stone to become the educator I am today. Staying at Westminster to receive a Masters as a Reading Specialist was important to me since I have a love of reading and struggled as a child. I want to be there to assist and support anyone who lacks confidence, struggles with school, or needs support. I have 12 years of teaching experience in public schools ranging from Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Learning Support (2, 3, 4, 6, 7th grade), and regular education grades 3rd and 6th. I have a wide range of strategies and skills that I hope to share with you (or your child) and I can't wait to get started soon.
