My name is Barry, and I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics. Throughout my academic journey, I observed that while personal interest in a subject played a significant role in my success, the quality of teaching and the instructor's style were equally crucial. I found that courses led by teachers who possessed a deep understanding of the subject matter and could effectively communicate complex concepts were the most beneficial for me. These are qualities I continuously strive to cultivate and refine in my own teaching approach.

My teaching experience began at a young age when I took on a part-time role at a local tutoring program to earn some extra income. Over three years, I managed classes of up to 20 students, ranging from early grade school to early high school, covering subjects such as math and reading across various grade levels. Throughout my university years, I continued to pursue teaching opportunities, collaborating closely with a professor to support undergraduate students in achieving their academic goals. More recently, I have ventured into online tutoring, specializing in assisting students with test preparation for the SAT and the ACT. I derive immense satisfaction from helping students develop strategies to showcase their knowledge effectively on standardized tests and present themselves in the best possible light.

While I am proficient in tutoring a wide range of subjects, I take particular pride in my ability to tutor SAT Math, reflected in my exceptional score of 790 out of 800 on the SAT Math section.
