I am passionate about helping students because I know what it feels like to not be able to understand something. When someone takes time, has the patience to explain things that seem difficult and show ways that will be easily understood, the person being tutored feels good about themselves and that they have achieved something. As a child, I had a difficult time pronouncing words beginning with the letter "s". After feeling embarrassed, having low self-esteem, and struggling to overcome the fear of mispronunciation, I made a vow to myself to learn, research and better myself. I would research how to read words properly and by reading my passion to learn became inevitable.
I worked with students in an afterschool program teaching math, science, and history. It is rewarding to see how the students became eager to learn when learning is made fun.
My education from many years of schooling in New York. I received my Computer Information Systems and Business Administration bachelor's degree from Fordham University and Computer Information Sciences master's degree from Pace University.
I believe that you can learn something new every day. Learning and sharing what you learn is valuable to students as their thirst for knowledge is developing.
