Certified Tutor

I graduated in 2011 with a BS in Biology and BA in Spanish. I received my certification in Medical Lab Science from Owensboro Health in 2013. In 2016, I received my Masters in Health Administration.
During my undergraduate studies, I tutored students in many subjects, but mostly math (all levels), Spanish, and Biology. I found that I particularly enjoyed teaching math, such as algebra, and I had a nerdy level passion when teaching it. I wanted to instill this same excitement for math in my students.
I see math as a puzzle I like to put together, but I have a method of beginning the process and getting it put together correctly. I am very organized and require my students to take responsibility for their organization, expect them to be prepared, and teach them structure in their lessons. I realize that each student learns at a different pace and with different styles.
All I ask from my students is to come with paper and pencil AND most importantly, a good attitude. We don't have to enjoy the subject we are learning, but we will all do better if we maintain a positive attitude and try to have fun while learning something that may not come easily to you. We will get there, if you don't give up on yourself.
