Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Clemson University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated Cum Laude. After graduation, I worked twelve years as a nurse, primarily in Mother/Baby and Special Care Nursery. A huge part of my job as a nurse was educating parents and patients. I have worked as a substitute teacher in elementary, middle and high schools. I volunteered extensively in my children's elementary classrooms. I also served as a Cub Scout Den Leader for several years. I have lived abroad and traveled extensively with my family, absorbing varying cultures and languages. While I am able to tutor other subjects, I am most passionate about tutoring Math. I love discovering how each individual student learns best and teaching concepts in a way they understand. I firmly believe all students are capable of improving their academic performance; they just have to tap into that knowledge in a way that excites and energizes them.
