I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University where I received my Bachelor's degree in International Business and a minor in Spanish. I have been tutoring/teaching Spanish consistently for most of my time post graduate. I have taught everyone from Gifted Elementary students to adults at a community college who wanted to learn the Spanish language. I have been a private tutor to high school students, and have been hired for private in-home teaching sessions. I currently am a full time Spanish elementary teacher at a small school where I have developed the program. I love to teach the Spanish language to young people and see them explore with their new knowledge. They feel safe practicing their speaking skills with me and other students learning it as well. I would begin a session with a new student or group of students getting a feel for what they know, and what they want to learn. I also try to get an understanding of their learning styles so I can adjust my presentations accordingly. I love to present information, allow them some time to individually apply that new information in written form, then we practice with the material verbally and as a group if possible, most often in the form of a game or puzzle.
