Certified Tutor
I am a current student at Penn State University in the Schreyer Honors College. I am majoring in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with minors in Special Education, Human Development and Family Studies, and Psychological Science.
When tutoring, I love to play games! I think games are such a great tool to see a student's progress in any subject, and it makes learning fun! I tutor a wide variety of subjects, but my favorite to teach is definitely math. Growing up, math was my favorite subject, so I hope to inspire that passion in others. Recently, I assisted in a 1st grade inclusive classroom as an aide, and I worked with students most often during their math lessons and I was lucky to have also taught a couple math lessons!
In addition to volunteering as a classroom aide, I coached gymnastics for 5 years, tutored elementary school students for 2 years, and volunteered as a counselor for spring and summer camps. My passion for teaching started with coaching gymnastics, and it was then that I learned just how powerful education really is. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with students of various ages and backgrounds, each with their own aspirations and hurdles. Through patience, empathy, and adaptability, I have strived to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment in all that I do.

Outside of academics, I love relaxing on the beach and watching new shows and movies in my free time. I also have three puppies that I adore, so I’m sure you’ll see pictures of them at some point during our tutoring session!
