Certified Tutor

Over the summer of my junior year of college, I was asked to tutor a high school student who had missed months of school due to a traumatic sports injury. Together we learned so much about the transition from a reluctant learner to an engaged student. After earning my B.A. in English from Williams College, I lived in Germany, managed a professional hockey team and tutored again, this time a graduate student who was studying American government. Both of these experiences taught me that the relationship between a teacher and student is one in which both learn from each other, and together they can achieve the goals that may be difficult for the student alone. Since then, I have tutored individual students, taught in group settings to people of all ages and worked as an editor and writer while raising my own children. I am eager to inspire more students and open their eyes to the potential each and every one has to achieve great things!
