Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Grace College where I received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education in 2011. Since graduating, I have worked at two private schools and have taught various levels of math from 6th grade through 12th grade. I have aided the development of curriculum for courses in middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, and statistics.

My technique in the classroom is to use explorations and discussions to help students understand why math concepts work. We will often go through multiple examples and give students every opportunity to grasp the concept. I know math is a subject that requires much thought and can be something many students are nervous about, but I believe all students can learn!

Outside of classroom teaching, I also work with students and teachers to implement educational technology. I believe that educators should use every tool available to help students.
