I am a passionate educator with over 25 years of experience in math and statistics, including more than 5 years of dedicated tutoring. I hold a Master's degree in Statistics from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. My teaching journey began in college, where I tutored calculus and expanded to subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, and statistics. I thrive on making math relatable and enjoyable, often using real-world applications to engage students and demystify abstract concepts. My approach emphasizes interactive learning, encouraging students to write down their thought processes and actively participate in problem-solving. I have taught math at an international school in Brazil and have also instructed college algebra at a local community college, allowing me to connect with high school students and adults alike. I am deeply committed to helping students achieve their academic goals, and I believe that every student can find success in math with the right guidance and support.
