I am a licensed teacher in Virginia because I have the belief that every child has the potential to succeed. I am passionate about helping students because seeing them learn brings me joy. I have experience teaching students in grades 2-4. I graduated from Radford University with a degree in elementary education. My teaching philosophy goes around a student-based approach. This means that I meet the student where they are and I work to fit what is best for them. Seeing children learn and getting to help them is something that I look forward to every day. I am able to provide additional support outside of school in a way that is personalized for you and your child. I meet the child where they are, we set goals, and we do what we need to in order to achieve those goals we have set. I can work on reading, math, writing, test prep, and even enrichment for kids that need an additional challenge.

Outside of academics, I am a DIYer. I love learning new things to try on my own. I love to be outside in nature hiking, walking, fishing, or just relaxing in the hammock. You can also find me listening to music or working on the garden.
