Aaron: Farmington Hills tutor
Certified Tutor
I am driven to help you find success by connecting your learning with your strengths, passions, and social-emotional health. I follow the growth mindset language of "not yet". With this mindset, we'll accomplish your goals. I have served learners of all academic abilities across the four core subjects for more than 18 years at the middle school level. I began my career as a special education educator at New York City Public Schools, and most recently worked as a math and social studies instructional coach in Dallas/Fort Worth.
I earned my associate in education and bachelor of arts in communication from Keystone College, located in Pennsylvania. I then earned a dual master's degree in special education and elementary from Queen's College, located in Queens, New York. I most recently earned a master's degree certification in school leadership from Stephen F. Austin University, located in Texas.
I have experience in tutoring across the math, reading, science, and social studies/history at the upper elementary and middle school levels. I have developed a real joy in helping middle schoolers rediscover a love of math.
Outside of tutoring, I get to live out my other passion, which is coffee. I am the founder of a coffee company, provide consulting services to shops/restaurants/hotels, and most recently have started a Podcast.

I have two callings. The first is to be an educator leader, and the second is in coffee. As an education leader, I am driven to help learners achieve their goals. As an entrepreneur, I have started a coffee company consultancy and host a Podcast. I travel a lot between the USA and Grenada, West Indies where my family lives part of the year. I get to do a lot of hiking here with my rescue dog.
