I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at Western Governors University. I received my high school diploma from the International School of Wuxi in China. My journey as a tutor began informally in elementary school, where I discovered a passion for helping classmates with their coursework. By my freshman year of high school, I had officially stepped into the role of a tutor, both in classroom settings and as an individual instructor.

Recently, I had the privilege of tutoring a diverse group of students, ages 9 to 16, in subjects such as math, science, English, and SAT preparation. Additionally, I taught Physical Education to K-8 students at an inner-city school in Philadelphia last year.

I specialize in tutoring Algebra, SAT preparation, and spoken Mandarin, subjects that I've not only mastered but also found unique ways to make accessible to my students. However, my love for the sciences and mathematics extends beyond these specialties, and I am confident in my ability to teach a wide range of subjects within these domains.

My teaching philosophy revolves around the idea that the best learning happens when students discover the spark of their own interest. Whether it's using favorite films to explore Mandarin or making algebra more relatable, I am dedicated to creating personalized learning experiences that resonate with each individual. Even in challenging subjects, I am committed to always validating students' efforts and helping them find an approach that clicks.

Outside of academics, I find joy in reading children's books, staying connected with friends and family from around the world, and learning Dutch.
