I am a High School English Language Arts teacher who currently teaches both 9th grade and 12th grade. I teach the Advanced Academic and AP courses in both content areas. I am currently seeking my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Language Arts and Literacy focus. I will complete my degree in December 2023. I currently maintain a B.S. in Psychology.
My teaching philosophy is that any child can learn and growth is the goal. If a student is growing the grades will take care of themselves.
I meet each child where they are in their skill level and show them how to improve their reading, writing, and thinking processes so they can achieve in the classroom. Through hard work and dedication, anyone can achieve their dreams.

In my free time, reading is my number one pastime. I read whenever possible. My reading preferences are Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction. I do read professional books to help me in my craft, but most of my reading is fiction. I also enjoy watching movies and spending time with my two teenagers and husband of 17 years.
