Certified Tutor

I am excited to have joined Varsity Tutors.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, after spending the last 20 years in Toronto, working as a litigation lawyer. I obtained my law degree from Dalhousie University in 1998 and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2000. I practiced primarily with one firm for most of that time. I was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2022.

Throughout my career, learning has always been critically important to me. I have attended many seminars, conferences and continuing legal education sessions out of a desire to obtain as much knowledge as possible about the subjects that pertained to my line of work.

Now that I am semi-retired, I want to share my love of learning with other people and that led me to tutoring. I know a lot about a lot of subjects and feel that my versatility will allow me to tutor in a variety of subjects.

While I can tutor many subjects, I am most passionate about the law, English and Psychology, which are the degrees I hold.

In my free time, I love going for walks with my dogs, running, cooking and travel. The most exotic place I have been is Iceland but I have travelled extensively in the Caribbean and Europe.
