Certified Tutor

I am so excited to be tutoring. More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your tutor. It's going to be a fun time full of lots of learning and new adventures. I want to know all about YOU but first, I am going to tell you a few things about me.

I graduated from Keuka College earning my Bachelor's Degree in Unified Elementary Education. I have many years of teaching experience working with small groups of students in kindergarten through fifth grade to meet their goals for math, social studies, reading, and writing, and increasing their word recognition, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. I enjoy building students' self-confidence and motivation in learning to read, write, and solve math equations. I have implemented in school districts the Carbo Reading Program and utilized the Wilson Reading System to teach the structure of language to students. I have also worked with small groups of students to improve their mathematical skills by utilizing Touch Math for addition and subtraction, and the area model for multiplication and division.
