Rolanda: Florissant tutor
Certified Tutor
As an educator with over 20 years of experience, I have found immense joy in fostering a love for learning and helping students achieve their full potential. With more than 5 years of dedicated service as a special education teacher, I have developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students and the importance of individualized instruction. My expertise lies in teaching reading and reading strategies across all grade levels, where I work to create engaging, accessible lessons that inspire students to become confident, lifelong learners.
I hold a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Louisville, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Additionally, my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University has provided me with a strong foundation in pedagogy and classroom management. Together, these qualifications, along with my years of experience, have shaped my teaching philosophy: every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I am committed to helping them realize their potential.
I take great pride in the progress my students make and in the relationships I build with them. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the growth of a child, whether it's a small achievement or a significant breakthrough. As I continue to develop as an educator, I remain passionate about providing each child with the support and encouragement they need to thrive academically and personally.
