I have a B.S. from Salisbury University and a Masters of Elementary Education from Wilmington University. I have been teaching for 15 years. I was a teacher in grades 2nd through 7th with a concentration in English Language Arts, i.e. reading skills. I have been a literacy coach and reading specialist for over 5 years. In my current role, I work with small groups incorporating phonics and phonemic awareness skills as it applies to fluent and accurate reading abilities. I am certified in O.G.+, iSpire and believe in the philosophy of the Science of Reading.
