I grew up north of Rochester, Minnesota, and graduated in 2020 as valedictorian from Pine Island High School. I went on to earn my Associate of Arts at Rochester Community and Technical College during the summer of 2021. I am currently studying at Minnesota State University Mankato to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching in May of 2024.
I am proud to be a MavPASS leader for Calculus II this and last semester. As a MavPASS leader, I hold office hours, create lesson plans, and lead study sessions. I love working with students in my tutoring sessions! I fell in love with tutoring in high school when I was a TA for geometry. Soon, I will have a teaching license for middle and high school mathematics. I am not sure what level I want to teach at yet.
A few of my teaching strengths are that I am personable, considerate, and creative in finding different ways to explain things. My goal is to establish a comfortable, empowering learning environment for my students. I look forward to strengthening my skills and the skills of my students during this tutoring experience. My main hobbies include crocheting and dancing. One of my favorite things to crochet is stuffed animals for my cousins. I have been dancing since I was 4 years old, and I am currently participating in dance programs at MSU Mankato. I also like to go on family trips camping, kayaking, and visiting extended family in Wisconsin.
