I was born in Argentina and came to England when I was 8 years old. I speak fluent English and Spanish, but can also read Portuguese and know basic German due to my German heritage. I did most of my qualifications at Waddesdon Church of England School.
I am passionate about helping others, improving their opportunities and reaching their goals. Every employment I have pursued has been due to my passion to help others, no matter how different the roles were. From the prison service to adult social care, I aspire to make a difference. I graduated from my degree in Biomedical Science, but the journey was more complex than normal for me. I went to different schools growing up and saw the differences in teaching approaches but also recognised the best way I learnt and that this was different for everyone. I tutor because I know that learning can be difficult, but finding the right approach can make a world of difference for a student.
From a young age I have had a passion for science, specifically Biology and Chemistry. It wasn't a subject that came naturally to me but I found it fascinating, and I knew that it was the route I wanted to take into my adult life. I completed my degree at Oxford Brookes University, and I am even in the process of being published as a co-author in a scientific journal as a result of my dissertation. When I was in Year 10, my science teacher sat me down after the lesson and told me there was no chance I would ever be able to pursue a career in science. To pick a different dream, because I wasn't good enough. A teacher telling you that gives you two options, either give up or persevere. I chose to persevere, to prove her wrong but it was a difficult journey. Teachers have a massive influence on your life when you are at school, and I want to help students find their dream and persevere. I want to be the influence I wish I had at that age.

I would describe myself as a nerd, I enjoy watching crime documentaries and reading a variety of different book genres. From romance and crime to horror and bibliographies. At the same time, I love anything to do with Marvel and Disney, I am a massive Star Wars fan and love to watch soppy romance films. At the weekends I enjoy visiting new cities, meeting with friends and going on long walks. I also thoroughly enjoy travelling, I like visiting new cities around Europe and have a growing bucket list of places I would like to visit. Including a number of museums, as I have exhausted my options within an 100 mile radius around Buckinghamshire, my favourites are the history or science museums. As a child, I played the violin for 4 years and was part of my hockey team, something I wanted to pursue at University but prioritised my studies instead.
