Hello! My name is Juan Villarreal, and I am a dedicated professional with a passion for education and empowering students. I hold both a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification, which have provided me with valuable skills in managing projects and teams effectively.

Education has played a crucial role in my journey. I am a graduate from the prestigious University of Houston, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Building on my passion for finance, I pursued further education and recently graduated with an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston-Victoria.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in the education sector, particularly in low-income schools. I have taken on various roles, including that of a tutor and teacher, where I've had the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of my students. Currently, I am the Director of College Counseling at YES Prep Public Schools, where I lead campus efforts to guide students and alumni through their college journey. Reporting directly to the campus principal and with dedicated support from the Home Office College Initiatives team, I am committed to ensuring our students graduate college-prepared and ready to assume leadership roles.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is witnessing the potential within each student and striving to unlock their greatness. I firmly believe that every student possesses unique capabilities, and as an educator, it is my duty to draw out that potential and guide them toward success.

I take pride in my achievements and my ability to effectively manage projects and teams, honed through my PMP and CSM certifications. My educational background in Political Science and Finance has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, enabling me to approach challenges with a comprehensive and strategic mindset.
