Certified Tutor

During my undergraduate studies, I volunteered twice a week at a mentoring service. Before starting this position, I figured that the children that attended this program would just need help with their math homework. However, I found that it was much more than that. They needed a friend to come alongside them and talk about life with them in addition to their studies. This experience showed me that short and seemingly meaningless conversation can heavily impact someone's life. One of my favorite parts of the entire experience was fostering relationships and helping out the families to better support their children. I know that I can play an important role in the individual lives of students around the country and that is extremely exciting to me!
