Hello, I am a former special education teacher who loves to help others. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with my Bachelors in Science in Special Education Learning Behavior Specialist 1. I have taught students from Kindergarten through High School in classes like math, reading, social skills and study skills. I have supported students in science and social studies before, but those are not my strongest areas of expertise. I love math! However, I also have some great tools for teaching reading.

I imagine a session with me would look like me helping students with their homework as needed and providing additional lessons to work on with them to help ensure they have a strong understanding of the content. However I am open to working with you however you learn best!

For students who may have an IEP or 504 plan I would love to help teach you how to understand and use that document to best benefit you during your education years. I am happy to look it over and implement things that are working for you in the class setting as well as offer ideas of what other accommodations you may benefit from. I hope to work with you soon!
