I strongly believe there is no "correct" way to learn and that each individual has unique ways that they absorb new material and knowledge. Throughout my academic career, I have adjusted my learning style countless times to fit the material and hope to introduce new ways of thinking to each student to find what works for them. I value transparency in letting me know if concepts are sticking or not, work to create a judgment free zone for asking questions, and want to tailor my approaches to each student's needs. My go-to way of tutoring is to emphasize the "why and how" to minimize pure memorization of flashcards. I have a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, four years of corporate finance experience, have taught CPR and First-Aid for nearly 9 years, and received my EMT certification in April of 2022. Outside of academia, I enjoy staying active and lifting weights, playing various board games and card games, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

I enjoy all things medicine, physiology, theories of the universe, and recently have delved into psychology. I play board games like Settlers of Catan, card games like Five Crowns, Spades, and poker, and like to occasionally play video games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty. I am a former baseball player and hope to get back into slow pitch softball very soon.
