I have been in education for 6 years. I graduated from Huston-Tillotson University, a private HBCU institution in Austin, TX, with a Bachelors in Communication and Sociology. I am certified in Gifted and Talented and ESL. I have experience working with Scholars that have IEPs ,504s , and ODD.
Before I began my journey in Education, I was an investigative journalist for " The Austin Chronicle". After researching a non-profit that helped Scholars in low income areas achieve their Academic goals, I decided to take my Journalism skills in writing and help close the gap.
Throughout my teaching experience I have been a Head volleyball Coach, Team lead, presented at professional developments to other campus English Teachers, became the campus Gifted and Talented coordinator, and a member of the curriculum council.
My talent for writing fuels my passion for scholars, and I look forward to helping you accomplish your goals this year!
