With a Bachelor's in Engineering and Masters in Business Administration, I gained great insight and comfort with subjects such as Math, Statistics, Physics, and Accounting, as well as Microsoft Office software, such as Excel. With more than 12 years teaching experience at the college level and tutoring high school students, I was exposed to a variety of student demographics, including adult learners. I am very comfortable teaching/tutoring online and face-to-face. I enjoy teaching and helping students to find their full potential. Sometimes students experience difficulty in a given subject is because they learn in non-traditional ways. I try to give different examples, tricks to memorize, pictures, and relate it to their world whenever possible. To ensure that the student understands, I first explain, then I make them try another example on their own and see where the difficulty is. Sometimes, I ask the student to explain to me first what they understood in class before I start explaining. In a group setting, I try to gamify the learning experience so they have fun while learning. I also provide advise to students may need help in study skills or test-taking skills to improve their grades.
