Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. I received my Master of Early Childhood Education degree, and earned a Texas Teaching Certification to teach early childhood through sixth grade. I also hold an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement. I have 8 years of teaching experience and have taught grades kindergarten, first, third, and fourth. After being a classroom teacher, I knew I wanted to continue to help children learn, so I became an online tutor to assist English language learners with mastering beginning concepts. I have now tutored online for 5 years and absolutely love it! I tutor all elementary subjects, but I am most passionate about English Language Arts. Seeing a child become a fluent reader is so rewarding for me.
I believe that not all children learn the same, but every child can reach their highest potential. My purpose is to find what reaches each child that I have the opportunity to teach.
