Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Texas Lutheran University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading. I am qualified to teach Reading in grades K-8. I was a teacher in low income schools for 33 years with most of those years in middle school ELAR. I also taught math, geography, and US history, due to need because of school size. During my years of teaching, I also became certified as a 4-8 Generalist and ESL certified as well. Even though Reading as a subject is my passion, my larger passion is guiding students through areas where they struggle with positive prompting so they can see that with perseverance they CAN succeed even in the difficult times. They are no less than others. They deserve as much as anyone else. They CAN do it.

I love reading, of course. I love the challenge of puzzles and logic problems. House plants interest me, but they don't seem to want to stay alive for me. Yet I keep trying! One day I may get the hang of it! And I love to create and learn new things on technology!
