Certified Tutor

I am a University of Toronto alumni; I studied at the university from 2010-2017. I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree (2010-2015), with a major in Spanish Language and Literature and minors in English Literature and French as a Second Language, as well as a Master of Arts degree (2016-2017) in Hispanic Literature and Culture. I also completed a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2016. I've immensely enjoyed my own journey as a language learner, which has evolved into a passion for teaching language and being part of others' learning processes. Since completing my TESOL Certificate, I have taught English to students from diverse backgrounds and ages in a variety of settings. Most recently, I worked as an English Language Assistant in Madrid, Spain from 2018-2022, and had the opportunity to work with students aged 11-18 in different modalities. I have been teaching online since 2019 and believe that I have the teaching background to offer a fruitful, personalized experience to my students. I particularly enjoy tutoring students in academic English and academic writing; however, I always strive to adapt my teaching style to students' individual needs and can tutor a variety of English language-related subjects. In my spare time, I enjoy continuing my own journey as a language learner I can speak Spanish, Portuguese and French, and love the opportunity to practice these languages and keep them active. I also enjoy reading, cooking and spending time in green spaces :)
