I am a graduate of Indiana State University with a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. My career began in 1986 at Van Buren Elementary teaching fifth grade. During my 39 years in education, I have taught kindergarten, first, second, third, fifth and sixth grades. I'm currently teaching third grade. My goal is to help students realize their potential, be successful students, and encourage them to be lifelong learners.

Spending time with my three dogs Molly, Kiwi, and Coconut is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy going to Disney, the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. In addition to being a full time classroom teacher and tutor, I love teaching gymnastics one night a week to 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Traveling to all 50 states is at the top of my bucket list!
