I love working with students in small group settings as it provides the opportunity to push students' critical thinking and work through their content preconceptions. Tutoring and mentorship also provides the space where students can develop their confidence in their academics and identity as a student.

I received my B.A. in Biology and immediately began tutoring and part-time teaching math at a rural middle school. I later received my Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University focused in Secondary Science Education and since then have taught at several grade levels in both middle school and high school in science, math, and STEM. I love tutoring both math and science subjects, especially High School Biology and Algebra 1/Pre-Algebra. With those courses usually being freshman/sophomore courses, having a strong and confident foundation in those classes can make the world of difference in the classes that follow because of how the curriculum builds.
