I've been a STEM educator for three years, both as a private math tutor and as a museum educator. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University's Honors College in 2019, where I double majored in Economics and Religious Studies. Even though I went into the social sciences, I spent most of childhood as an avid "STEM kid" and still consider myself a math and science nerd.
I love tutoring because I love relieving stress for students. I enjoy working with younger students because having adequate confidence in elementary math is crucial for the classes that might follow--whether it's calculus, economics, or sociology. My goal as an educator is to impart curiosity and an appreciation for education in my students--regardless of the subject.
I competed in Science Olympiad in middle and high school, and have previously coached a middle school student for Math Olympiad. I enjoy helping with extracurricular activities and other forms of academic enrichment, so let me know if that's something you're interested in!

I love making art and learning new crafts (like beading, crocheting, and sewing), exploring nature, spending time with animals, doing logic and math puzzles, watching YouTube, and learning more about my favorite subjects (religious studies, STEM, economics, and history).
