Upon graduation from Troy University I began teaching high school mathematics and fell in love with teaching. Needless to say I had my share of mistakes but I believe the majority of my students graduated with a grasp of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. From here I taught in junior high school and learned new methods of communicating with younger math students. Challenging but rewarding just the same. A position opened up for a part time professor at a local community college (now a State College) and so began over 40 years of college instruction in both the Business Division and the Mathematics Division. I worked around 60 hours each week in my full time job, but still found time to teach several classes each term. I remember so many of my students that tried so hard to grasp each concept and it was especially gratifying to know that I could spend a few minutes before or after class to help them. I sincerely hope I can help many students here as well.

My interests have always been in education because I get great pleasure seeing a student's eyes light up when they understand a concept. I have spent a great deal of time thinking about how to present various topics to make it easier to present or to make it clearer. My hobbies include fishing, golf, and working in my yard.
